Mr. Stephen Carlson

Mr. Carlson is a Licensed Social Worker.

Education: Masters Degree in Social Work, Dominican University; Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice, Minor in Social Welfare and Justice and Theology, Marquette University.

Client Base: Mr. Carlson is a good communicator and listens well to the needs of his clientele that he serves.  Mr. Carlson also has the ability to motivate other and sees the best in each and everyone.  He has experience working with children, teens, young adults, as well as adults who present with depression, anxiety, Bipolar Disorder, Schizophrenia, PTSD, ADHD, and OCD.  Currently I am also working at Virtual Connections Academy with middle school and high school aged students providing therapy to them. 

 

Therapeutic approach: Mr. Carlson meets you in a safe and welcoming environment where he listens to the needs of the clients that he serves and provides honest and open feedback without being judgmental.  Mr. Carlson uses the PIE model where he meets the person in their environment.  He also uses a client centered philosophy level of care when providing therapy to clients.  Mr. Carlson uses other therapeutic modalities such as CBT and DBT.
