Education: Ms. Pedraza has received a Masters of Science Degree in Clinical Counseling from Rosalind Franklin University of Medicine and Science and received her Bachelors of the Arts in Psychology from St. Thomas University. Ms. Pedraza is a Licensed Professional Counselor.
Client Base: Ms. Pedraza provides both individual and family therapy. Ms. Pedraza provides therapy to children and adolescents and has an interest in ADHD, Anxiety, Depression, Trauma, Relational issues, and School-Related challenges. She currently works at a therapeutic day school with students experiencing emotional and behavioral concerns.
Approach: Ms. Pedraza provides a welcoming, non judgemental environment in order to engage clients in the therapeutic process. The therapeutic approach she utilizes in therapy is dependent on the needs of each client. She meets each client at their own level, while maintaining focus on therapeutic goals. Ms. Pedraza uses mindfulness, creative/art activities, challenges negative thought patterns, and self-exploration to promote growth and change.
