Education: Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling, Adler University, Chicago; Bachelor of Science Degree in Psychology from University of Iowa. He is a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor.
Client Base: Mr. Campos typically works with children and adolescents, using individual and family therapy modalities. Mr. Campos has worked in foster care and crisis work with children, adolescents, and young adults, and his experience lends to a variety of interests. This includes attachment issues, trauma, family systems, impulse control issues, anxiety, depression, and resistant clients.
Therapeutic Approach: Mr. Campos prefers informal, client-focused therapeutic settings. While working with children, adolescents, and adults, he found that the best therapeutic work is typically done when clients feel relaxed, safe, and sometimes laughing at his bad jokes. Mr. Campos has training in Attachment, Regulation, and Competency (ARC), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing. He is well versed in working with meeting clients where they are at, focusing on their motivations for therapy and finding the best way to help them meet their goals.
